A 17-year-old boy died after being stabbed with a nine to ten-inch 'zombie knife' in Abertridwr, Caerphilly county. Tristan Shae Kerr was found with a single stab wound when police responded to Lower Francis Street at 17:45 GMT on Thursday.

Four suspects - Ricardo Elliot, 26, Connor Palfrey, 24, Elexi Manny, 24, and Georgie Mears, 18 - appeared before Newport Crown Court via video link. They face murder charges but entered no pleas. Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke warned against courtroom disruptions given high emotions surrounding the case.

Prosecutors allege all four were present when Kerr was allegedly killed at a flat. Despite an off-duty nurse's efforts at the scene, the teenager could not be saved. The case is provisionally set for trial on 3 August, with proceedings expected to last four to six weeks.
