A24 の新作映画『Primetime』は、Chris Hansen 役の Robert Pattinson が主演し、Murphy, Texas で2006年に行われた『To Catch a Predator』のsting operationを再訪する。この作戦は、assistant district attorney であり Bill として知られていた Louis W. Conradt Jr. の suicide で終わった。Hansen は2004年から2007年まで NBC series を主持し、adult decoys が minors を装って alleged predators をおびき寄せ、police が arrests を行う番組だった。Murphy Police Department と Perverted Justice と共に行われた Murphy operation は、police と camera crews が Terrell, Texas の彼の home に到着した後、Conradt の death につながった。元 Murphy detectives の Sam Love と Walter Weiss（Gator というニックネーム）は、renewed attention について distress を表明し、それを exploitative と呼び、old wounds を reopened したと述べた。Love は「Oh my God, why don’t they let this thing die and go away?」と言った。Weiss は、Conradt の death につながった warrant に signing したことで、今も『a stain on my soul』を感じていると述べた。Chief Bill Myrick は department の participation を authorize していた。NBC は film を fictionalized portrayal と呼び、Dateline の35-year history における evolution に言及した。Film は Pattinson について Oscar buzz を生み出しており、controversial sting operations への renewed scrutiny の中で公開される。
