Tadej Pogacar claimed the Tour de Suisse men’s title after beating Lenny Martinez on the 151‑km finale. The Slovenian opened the race with a lead over Ecuador’s Richard Carapaz that widened to over four minutes before the last climb. Pogacar’s third stage win of the week cemented his place at the top for the season.

Pogacar, 27, has already won six of the seven most historic week‑long stage races this year, including the Tour de Romandie and Milan‑San Remo. He now turns his sights toward a record‑equalling fifth Tour de France victory next month, after amassing 13 wins from just 16 race days of the season so far and on.

On the women’s side, Marlen Reusser defended her title with a second straight stage win on the final day. After taking the overall lead in Saturday’s time trial, the Swiss rider dropped Italian Elisa Longo Borghini in the last 800 metres, finishing ten seconds ahead and claiming her third Tour de Suisse overall in four years of the season to solidify her dominance.

Pogacar’s victory marks his sixth win at a prestigious week‑long race, positioning him as a dominant force in the classics circuit. Reusser’s consistency keeps Switzerland at the forefront of women’s stage racing, while Longo Borghini’s ninth overall finish underscores the depth of Italian talent in the peloton. The results set clear benchmarks for the upcoming Grand Tours of the season.
