Premier League clubs have already spent more than £2bn this summer, with the biggest deals of the transfer window stretching across the globe. Transfer records have fallen, World Cup standouts have moved, and unexpected departures have shaped a busy window.

Morgan Rogers tops the list after joining Chelsea from Aston Villa for £117m, making him the most expensive British player in history. The England midfielder pipped Elliot Anderson, who became Manchester City's record signing at £116m shortly after returning from the World Cup. Real Madrid won the race for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande in a deal worth £115.7m, potentially rising to £120m.

Tottenham broke their transfer record twice, first paying £85m for Portugal midfielder Mateus Fernandes, then £92.5m for Italy's Sandro Tonali from Newcastle, with add-ons potentially taking that deal to £100m.

Other notable moves include Ballon d'Or winner Rodri leaving Manchester City for Barcelona, Bruno Guimaraes joining Premier League champions Arsenal for £75m, and Anthony Gordon following him to Barcelona for £69.3m. Goncalo Ramos became AC Milan's record purchase at £60.2m.
