A mural in Warrington celebrating two-time world darts champion Luke Littler surprised his grandmother when she spotted it on a bus. Littler, 19, watched the mural's unveiling at Golden Square Shopping Centre on Thursday. However, his grandmother saw it on Wednesday as it was being prepared, disembarking her bus to view it before alerting family members.

"I think my nan was on the bus yesterday," Littler shared. "She actually came down here, she got off the bus and spoke to the guys that were doing it. Then, she phoned my dad and that's how I found out." He expressed his happiness and called it a "pinch me moment."

The mural's appearance follows Littler's victory in the 2026 World Matchplay, his 11th PDC major title. This places him behind only Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen in major titles. Littler hopes Michael van Gerwen, currently ranked seventh in the PDC Order of Merit, can regain his top form to challenge him and other high earners like Luke Humphries and Gian van Veen.
