Darts sensation Luke Littler celebrates his 19th birthday fresh off another dominant year. The world No 1 successfully defended his World Darts Championship title by defeating Gian van Veen, adding to a remarkable 2025 that included wins at the UK Open, World Matchplay, and Grand Slam of Darts.

Already a back-to-back world champion, Littler has distanced himself from rivals including Van Veen and Michael van Gerwen. His rise draws increasing comparisons to darts legend Phil Taylor, with many expecting him to break records for time spent as world No 1.

He enters the Premier League Darts 2026 as favourite, with matches beginning February 5 on Sky Sports. Littler will aim to reach Finals Night for the third consecutive year after topping the weekly table in six of 16 events last season.
