New York Jets cornerback Qwan'tez Stiggers was taken to a hospital after collapsing during a joint practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Coach Aaron Glenn said Stiggers was conscious and speaking after the incident, which occurred during a special teams period.\n\nThe practice was halted for 10 minutes as medical personnel attended to Stiggers, who was given an IV and transported by stretcher. Players took a knee, and later gathered to pray for him.

Stiggers, 24, is a backup corner and special teams standout in his second season.\n\nThe day was also marked by multiple fights. Buccaneers tackle Luke Goedeke accused Jets edge rusher Kingsley Enagbare of a cheap shot, sparking one brawl. Goedeke also ripped off Stiggers' helmet during a scuffle.

Later, Jets tackle Armand Membou and Bucs tackle A'Shawn Robinson fought, and rookie Darrell Jackson Jr. scuffled with several players. Both coaches downplayed the altercations as typical joint practice intensity.
