Baltimore Ravens starting cornerback Nate Wiggins was carted off the field an hour into Tuesday's practice after suffering a left leg injury. Wiggins, Baltimore's top cornerback, couldn't put any weight on his left leg when heading into the team facility. He had his arms draped over trainers to go inside.

Ravens coach Jesse Minter declined to give a timetable on Wiggins or specify what he injured. "I think there's optimism," Minter said after Tuesday's practice. "But we'll look at it [and] we'll see where it's at."

Wiggins, a first-round pick in 2024, was injured during one-on-one drills with rookie wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane. He is the first player to be carted off in this year's training camp. The other experienced cornerbacks on the roster are Marlon Humphrey, Chidobe Awuzie and T.J. Tampa. If Wiggins has to miss any time, Awuzie would likely replace Wiggins and start opposite Humphrey. Last season, Wiggins started all 17 games, recording career highs of 76 tackles and three interceptions.
