The Denver Broncos have placed rookie running back Jonah Coleman on injured reserve due to a high ankle sprain sustained in their Week 2 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The fourth-round pick is expected to miss at least three additional games and is projected to return on October 25 against the Arizona Cardinals. Coleman had been the team's primary ball carrier on the game-clinching drive against the Jaguars, where he rushed for 33 of his 39 total yards.

With Coleman sidelined, J.K. Dobbins will step in as the primary running back for Sunday night's game against the Los Angeles Rams. Dobbins, who dealt with a hamstring injury last week, practiced fully on Thursday and Friday. RJ Harvey, who missed the Jaguars game with a hamstring issue, also returned to full practice and is available for the matchup. Coach Sean Payton expressed confidence in the team's running back depth, stating they would "be OK." Additionally, the Broncos signed long-snapper Mitchell Fraboni to the active roster and elevated fullback Adam Prentice and wide receiver Kolbe Katsis from the practice squad.
