Senegal's appeal against Morocco's 3-0 AFCON title win will be heard by Cas 'as swiftly as possible', the court announced.

Morocco were awarded a stoppage-time penalty to overturn Senegal's 1-0 final victory on January 18th, prompting Senegal's players to walk off the pitch. Caf subsequently ruled Senegal had forfeited the match, changing the result to 3-0 in Morocco's favor. Cas director Matthieu Reeb confirmed the tribunal will prioritize the appeal despite no fixed timeline.

The six-month process previously indicated by Raymond Hack, Caf's former disciplinary head, could see the World Cup coincide with the ongoing dispute. Senegal's players returned after the penalty was awarded, but their protest highlights the match's contentious nature. Cas aims to deliver a final decision before the World Cup begins in November.
