Cardiff City have secured Nathan Trott on a permanent basis, signing the goalkeeper to a three-year deal after his impressive loan spell from Copenhagen. The 25-year-old played a key role in the Bluebirds' promotion-winning season under head coach Brian Barry-Murphy, establishing himself as first choice between the posts and impressing with his ability to play out from the back.

Trott's journey to the Championship began in Bermuda, where he played midfield and defence before a chance switch to goalkeeping at under-15 level due to a teammate's injury. West Ham United spotted his potential through former striker Clyde Best, and Trott spent five years with the Hammers before loan spells at AFC Wimbledon, French side Nancy, and Vejle in Denmark. He joined Copenhagen in 2024 before moving to Cardiff.

Now getting the chance to be a permanent part of the club, Trott spoke about his excitement: "I think it's the perfect group to be part of. I've felt the love of the fans since the first game, and as the season has gone on it's only grown every single game." The goalkeeper is eager to showcase his abilities at this level after demonstrating his quality during the promotion campaign.
