Wrexham's transformation from a struggling non-league side to a global brand has created one of football's most remarkable supporter movements. The Norwegian Reds have become the club's largest official fan group with 440 members, while the Dubai Reds gather at an Irish pub in the Middle East to watch every match. What started as small gatherings has exploded since the Welcome to Wrexham documentary aired.

The Wrexham Supporters Federation now coordinates 25 official groups worldwide, including the Bavarian Red Dragons in Germany and the Ukrainian Dragons, with unofficial clubs also thriving in Iceland, Thailand and Australia. "It's the underdog story," explained Norwegian Reds founder Steinar Pedersen. "You want the small teams to succeed." The club's financial success mirrors this growth, with turnover reaching a record £33.3m and international revenue now accounting for 57.7% of total income.

The commercial impact extends well beyond matchday. Tourism in Wrexham generated £191m for the local economy in 2024, while every Championship fixture this season has been broadcast in the USA on CBS and Paramount+. Since the 2024-25 season began, approximately half of retail income has come from outside the UK.
