Harry Redknapp Tottenham Return: 79-Year-Old Open to Spurs Return

Harry Redknapp has reignited speculation about a return to Tottenham Hotspur, saying the club hierarchy 'know where I am' if they need him to replace struggling interim manager Igor Tudor. The 79-year-old former Spurs boss, who won 71 of 144 Premier League games during his 2008-2012 tenure, suggested the club needs someone to 'give them a lift' after Tudor lost all four games since taking over.

Tudor's position has become untenable following a 5-2 first-leg Champions League defeat to Atletico Madrid and a decision to substitute goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky after early errors. Speaking at Cheltenham Gold Cup, Redknapp downplayed immediate return rumors but acknowledged Tottenham's precarious position just above the relegation zone. Former chairman Daniel Levy reportedly told Redknapp he would have brought him back until season's end.

If appointed, Redknapp would become the oldest Premier League manager, surpassing Roy Hodgson's record by two and a half years. Former players including Rob Green and Brad Friedel support the idea, citing Redknapp's man-management skills and ability to connect with players. However, Glenn Murray argues Spurs need a longer-term solution, suggesting alternatives like Gus Poyet or Tim Sherwood. Tottenham faces Liverpool on Sunday before hosting Atletico in the Champions League return leg.
