LFM Capital portfolio company Sis Tech Manufacturing has acquired Rio Rancho, New Mexico-based Alta Data Technologies, for undisclosed terms. The deal is Sis Tech’s first add-on acquisition since LFM’s initial investment in 2023, and it increases LFM’s exposure to the aerospace and defense market. Alta Data provides commercial off-the-shelf electronic products, such as interface cards and Ethernet converters, that facilitate data exchange between avionics subsystems.
Its products support the MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC series avionics standards, and its end markets include defense and commercial aerospace. Sis Tech and Alta Data have worked closely together for more than 15 years, making the combination of the two businesses a natural next step, said Dan Shockley, managing director at LFM. Sis Tech was founded in 2009 and is based in Bend, Oregon.
It manufactures high-complexity printed circuit board assemblies for defense, aerospace, industrial and consumer applications. Nashville-based LFM makes lead or control investments in US lower middle-market manufacturing and industrial services companies with at least $3 million of EBITDA and enterprise values of $15 million–$125 million. LFM director Russ Aiken and senior associate Mitch Mattingly worked with Cook and Shockley on the deal.
