Antonelli emerged fastest in Formula 1's second practice session for the Belgian Grand Prix, ahead of Lando Norris. The session was twice halted by red flags: first for gravel on track, and then due to Pierre Gasly's crash.

Antonelli set a blistering 1m45.944s on soft tyres, a benchmark that remained unbeaten. Earlier, he had led initial runs on medium tyres, surpassing Max Verstappen's FP1 time. Isack Hadjar briefly topped the timesheets on softs before Antonelli's decisive lap.

Gasly's incident occurred in the final 15 minutes, losing the rear of his Alpine and impacting the wall, causing significant disruption to long-run simulations. Verstappen secured third, followed by Lewis Hamilton, with Hadjar fifth. Oscar Piastri, affected by an FP1 repair, was sixth.

Other notable performances included Franco Colapinto in seventh, ahead of George Russell. The session highlighted the pace of McLaren and Red Bull, despite the interruptions.
