Kimi Antonelli dominated second practice at the Belgian Grand Prix, topping the timesheets in his Mercedes. After a subdued first session, Antonelli rediscovered his season-long pace, finishing nearly two tenths ahead of Lando Norris.

Max Verstappen, who led first practice for Red Bull, was third, almost half a second behind Antonelli, and voiced strong complaints about his car's gear shifts. Antonelli's Mercedes teammate, George Russell, currently second in the championship, was a distant eighth, more than 1.2 seconds off the pace.

Hamilton secured fourth for Ferrari, trailing Antonelli by nearly three-quarters of a second. The session was interrupted by two red flags, one for debris on track and another for a significant crash involving Pierre Gasly, limiting running time at the end. Ferrari drivers could face grid penalties for a tyre breach.
