Enlightenment 0.28 has been released by Carsten Haitzler, bringing the better part of two years' worth of improvements. This update introduces initial NetBSD support, a Network Manager module for wired, wireless, and VPN management, and native PipeWire mixer support alongside PulseAudio. Other enhancements include new window actions, improved client-side decoration handling, better display mode sorting, and enhanced backlight filtering.
The release also features improved window switching, pixmap handling, X connection recovery, and nested Wayland compositor shutdown. Enlightenment 0.28 continues to support both X11 and Wayland. Downloads and more details are available at Enlightenment.org.
