Bill Connelly crunches the numbers to find the most in-form European teams heading into the international break. It's possible that no club has had a better last three months than FC Barcelona. Hansi Flick's squad won La Liga by eight points and thrashed Newcastle 7-2 in the Champions League round of 16, only falling short of cup goals because of Atletico Madrid.

Since then, things have only improved. Eight Barcelona players were on Spain's World Cup winning squad, and they added Rodri from Manchester City, plus speedsters Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi. Barcelona have outscored their first seven opponents 33-7. Raphinha and Lamine Yamal have combined for 19 goals and seven assists; Gordon and Adeyemi have three goals and six assists between them.

Barca haven't faced a murderers' row -- their best opponent was world No. 69 Athletic Club -- but their early form suggests they've reestablished or topped last season's best run. They enter the international break as the hottest team in Europe.
