Apple unveiled the AirPods 5 at its September event, starting at $129. The new model features 50% improved noise cancellation and a new acoustic architecture for "best-in-class" open-ear ANC. Two versions are available: the standard $129 model and a $149 version with a wireless charging case.

Both offer up to five hours of battery life with ANC, extendable to 22 hours with the case. The AirPods 5 also include Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, and Live Translation with compatible iPhones. Preorders are open now, with stores receiving them on September 18.

Rumors of camera-equipped AirPods persist, but Apple hasn't confirmed, with Bloomberg suggesting a 2025 launch.
