Apple has unveiled the new AirPods 5, featuring improved active noise cancellation and sound quality. Priced at $129, they offer a lower launch price than the predecessor AirPods 4. The AirPods 5 boast active noise cancellation that removes up to 50 percent more noise compared to the AirPods 4. This improvement is credited to a new multiport acoustic architecture and better computational audio algorithms. The enhanced transparency mode allows users to hear nearby sounds, like people's voices, more naturally.

The adaptive audio feature automatically switches between noise cancellation and transparency based on the surrounding environment, as explained by Dave Pakula, VP of hardware engineering at Apple, during the company's presentation. Preorders are already open, making the AirPods 5 a compelling deal for consumers.
