Apple iPhone Duo Crease: What Apple Says

Ahead of the iPhone Duo launch, rumors suggested Apple aimed to eliminate the crease between its two displays. On the product page, an FAQ asks, "Does the inner display of iPhone Duo show a crease where it folds?" Apple's response says the display is "wonderfully flat and smooth," but it doesn't explicitly deny a crease. The company highlights a custom nano-texture finish that reduces glare and reflections, and optically clear adhesives that let layers glide, minimizing stress and crease visibility.

Apple does not list a fold cycle count, but claims the hinge offers "smooth, balanced resistance for long-lasting reliability," with over 100 components and support ribs under a titanium panel. In contrast, Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold8 is rated for 500,000 folds. The iPhone Duo launches October 23, with pre-orders starting October 16.
