NZXT N7 B850 Review: AMD Motherboard Analysis

NZXT has finally launched its N7 B850 motherboard, bringing AMD's B850 chipset to its lineup over a year after the platform debuted. Priced at $200, the board comes in white and black color schemes, a signature NZXT aesthetic. It arrives late in the AM5 cycle, with NZXT seemingly prioritizing Intel board releases first.

The N7 B850 features a 16-phase CPU power design, support for DDR5-8000 memory overclocking, and a PCIe Gen 5 x16 slot. Storage includes one PCIe Gen 5 M.2 and two PCIe Gen 4 M.2 slots. Connectivity is handled by a Realtek 2.5 Gbps Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E, targeting mainstream builders who value clean design.

While its late arrival is a disadvantage, the $200 price tag and NZXT's familiar, cohesive aesthetic could make it a compelling option. It faces stiff competition from established ASRock, MSI, and ASUS boards. The question is whether its design-first approach delivers enough function to win over AM5 system builders.
