The Kioxia Exceria Pro G2 4 TB SSD delivers up to 14.9 GB/s sequential read and 13.7 GB/s write speeds using PCIe Gen 5. Powered by the Silicon Motion SM2508 controller and featuring Kioxia's 218-layer Bi CS8 TLC NAND, it offers exceptional performance for gaming and demanding applications. The drive includes a 4 GB LPDDR4X DRAM cache and large SLC cache for sustained writes, while maintaining energy efficiency to prevent overheating.

Priced at €630 (approximately $610), the 4 TB model comes with 2400 TBW endurance and a five-year warranty. Available in 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB capacities, it uses a single-sided design with two NAND packages. The SM2508 controller is shared with other Gen 5 drives like the WD Black SN8100 and Kingston Fury Renegade.

Kioxia, established in 2018 after Toshiba's memory division sale, produces flash memory for multiple brands but doesn't sell first-party SSDs in the US. The Exceria Pro G2 succeeds the Gen 4 Exceria Pro and launched in December last year.
