Rambus Inc. has appointed Victor Peng to its Board of Directors, effective February 12, 2026. Peng brings over 40 years of semiconductor leadership experience, most recently serving as president of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), where he led the company's embedded and data center GPU businesses, AI software, and research and advanced development.

Before joining AMD, Peng spent 14 years at Xilinx, holding senior positions including president, CEO, and chief operating officer. His extensive background in semiconductor innovation and executive leadership spans major industry players, making him a strategic addition to Rambus's board. The company, which reported $99 million in annual revenue, focuses on chip and silicon IP solutions that make data faster and safer.

Peng's appointment comes as Rambus positions itself at the forefront of AI and data center infrastructure transitions. "AI is redefining the fundamental requirements for hardware infrastructure, and Rambus is sitting at the center of this transition," Peng stated. His expertise in both hardware and software development for AI applications could prove valuable as Rambus advances its market position in these rapidly evolving sectors.
