Thermalright unveiled two new CPU coolers, the Peerless Assassin 120 SE V3 and Peerless Assassin 140 SE V3, as refinements of its earlier V3 line. Both employ dual fin‑stack (type‑D) towers and updated aluminium fin patterns. The 120‑mm model measures 125 × 135 × 155 mm, weighs 608 g without fans, and uses six 6 mm nickel‑plated copper heatpipes on a C1100 copper base.

Each cooler ships with Fluid Dynamic Bearing fans. The 120 SE V3 pairs two TL‑P12 120 mm fans that reach 2,000 RPM, deliver up to 70.84 CFM airflow, 2.63 mm H₂O static pressure, and generate 29.8 dBA noise. The larger unit adds a 140 mm fan (TL‑D14CB) and a 120 mm intake (TL‑C12C‑X28 V2), together pushing 166 CFM at modest noise levels.

Both designs support current desktop sockets—including AM5, LGA1851, LGA1700, AM4, and LGA1200/115x—making them drop‑in upgrades for most builds. While Thermalright withheld pricing, the expanded fin geometry and higher‑capacity fans suggest a focus on enthusiast markets seeking lower temperatures without excessive acoustics. Consumers gain a direct path to improve cooling on high‑TDP CPUs now.

The SE suffix signals Thermalright’s attempt to differentiate these models from the standard V3 lineup, emphasizing quieter operation and refined fin density. By retaining compatibility with the broad socket range, the company sidesteps the fragmentation that plagues many aftermarket coolers. With the SE series, Thermalright aims to capture the segment of builders prioritizing performance per watt.
