OCBASE has updated its OCCT tool to include overclocking support for Intel's Xeon 600 "Granite Rapids-WS" workstation processors. This update allows users to fine-tune and stress test their systems within a single application. OCBASE collaborated with Intel to create a special theme for the tool. This integration is designed to provide a more user-friendly overclocking experience.

The ability to overclock the Xeon 698X, a flagship processor with 86 cores and 172 threads, is a key feature. Users can now make per-core clock adjustments while running continuous stress tests. The 698X has a base clock of 2.0 GHz, boosting up to 4.8 GHz. This capability is unusual for Xeon processors, which are typically locked.

The public release of the updated OCCT tool is expected in the coming weeks, following a closed beta program. The update will also include Linux compatibility. This development is significant for enthusiasts and professionals who want to push their Intel workstation CPUs to the limit. The added support gives users more control over their systems' performance.
