MaxSun has launched two MoDT (Mobile on Desktop) motherboards featuring soldered Intel processors. The MS-MoDT 230H D4 WIFI and MS-MoDT 205H D4 WIFI use a compact microATX form factor at 190 x 180 mm, targeting small form factor builds, workstations, and edge computing. Despite the naming suggesting otherwise, these chips are Raptor Lake parts rather than Arrow Lake.

The Core 7 230H variant delivers 10 cores (6P + 4E) with 16 threads, up to 5.2 GHz boost, 24 MB cache, and a 45W base TDP that scales to 115W under turbo. It includes a dedicated VRM heatsink and four USB 3.2 Gen 2 rear ports. The Core 5 205H model steps down to 8 cores (4P+4E) with 12 threads, up to 4.8 GHz, and 12 MB cache while maintaining the same power envelope. Neither processor includes integrated graphics.

Both boards share identical connectivity: two DDR4 DIMM slots supporting up to 64 GB at DDR4-3200, two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, two SATA 3.0 ports, plus Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. The MoDT approach—mounting mobile CPUs directly on desktop boards—offers a cost advantage over purchasing separate processors and motherboards. MaxSun's new boards are estimated to retail between $110-200, though exact pricing and availability remain unconfirmed.
