InWin GX-285: An Arcade Machine Hiding in a Mid-Tower Case

InWin debuted the GX-285 at Computex 2026, a mid-tower chassis that merges modern PC hardware with retro gaming. The standout feature is a 10.1-inch landscape LCD on the front panel. Unlike most case screens, this display runs on an independent MCU system with built-in audio, allowing it to operate without the host PC.

Gaming enthusiasts get an IR gamepad and large physical buttons to play three preloaded games. This setup turns the chassis into a standalone arcade unit, though it still supports standard PC integration for switching video sources. It is unclear if the screen can double as a system monitor or a secondary display for Windows.

Internally, the case fits ATX, microATX, and Mini-ITX boards. It supports GPUs up to 410 mm and CPU coolers up to 160 mm. Cooling options are extensive, with radiator support up to 360 mm at the top and bottom. Front I/O includes a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port for fast data transfers.

Measuring 480 x 285 x 398 mm, the GX-285 targets a niche overlap between PC builders and retro collectors. While the specs are standard for a mid-tower, the integrated gaming hardware adds a distinct personality. InWin has not yet shared pricing or a release date for the chassis.
