Intel's Core Ultra 3 205T has made its first appearance in PassMark benchmarks, challenging the Core Ultra 5 255 and 255T models. Early single-core tests show the 205T scoring 4,561 points, a 3.2% and 6.6% lead over the 255 and 255T respectively. However, multithreaded performance tells a different story, with the 205T lagging nearly 15% behind the Core Ultra 5 225.

This performance gap is attributed to the 205T's reduced core and thread count: just eight cores and eight threads (four P-cores, four E-cores). The 205T's 35W TDP suggests it targets lower-end office builds, where single-core efficiency might outweigh raw multithreaded power. This debut positions the 205T as a contender in the entry-level segment against AMD's Ryzen AI 5 435, which it significantly outperforms in both test types.
