Intel Arc Drivers Boost Panther Lake Gaming Performance

Intel rolled out its newest 32.0.101.8425 and 32.0.101.8362 WHQL drivers today, giving first‑day support to the Core Ultra Series 3 “Panther Lake” CPUs that house the Arc B390 and Arc B370 iGPUs. The update promises a jump in gaming performance for handheld‑style rigs in the generation of portable gaming.

Central to the release is Intel’s XeSS 3 multi‑frame generation, which can insert up to three synthetic frames between two rendered frames, targeting a 3:1 ratio of generated to rendered frames. This technique aims to lift frame rates without demanding extra GPU cycles, a boon for low‑power devices.

Alongside new features, the drivers patch several stability issues, including crashes in Capcom’s PRAGMATA SKETCHBOOK demo on DirectX 12. Remaining bugs—color corruption in Ghost of Tsushima and intermittent crashes in Star Citizen—remain on the radar, with Intel promising a follow‑up patch soon for users who rely on gaming.

The launch underscores Intel’s push into the handheld market, positioning Panther Lake as a viable alternative to AMD’s mobile GPUs. Analysts expect the new drivers to tighten competition in the portable segment, potentially driving price cuts and encouraging developers to optimize titles for Intel’s XeSS 3 framework today.
