The Gigabyte B850M Aorus Stealth Ice is a micro ATX motherboard with rear connectors, a niche design gaining popularity. It features a white aesthetic, PCIe Gen 5 support, and tool-free M.2 heatsinks. Compatibility with cases is a key consideration, as not all ATX cases support rear connectors.

The board supports AMD Socket AM5 for Ryzen 7000 and 9000 series CPUs. Its power design includes an 8-phase CPU VRM using Onsemi NCP302155 drivers, plus separate phases for SOC and MISC. It offers four DIMM slots for up to 256 GB of DDR5-8200 memory.

Expansion includes one PCIe Gen 5 x16 slot and one PCIe Gen 4 x16 slot. Storage options are two SATA ports, one M.2 Gen 5 slot, and two M.2 Gen 4 slots. Networking is covered by a Realtek RTL8126 5 Gbps Ethernet controller and a Realtek RTL8922 AE Wi-Fi 7 module.

Rear I/O includes BIOS Flashback, Clear CMOS, power and reset buttons, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, multiple USB 3.2 Gen 2 and 3.0 ports, Wi-Fi antenna connectors, audio jacks with an ALC1220 codec, and an optical S/PDIF out. The board measures 10.5 x 10.5 inches (24.4 x 24.4 cm) in micro ATX form factor.
