Intel's Core Ultra 5 338H engineering sample demonstrates that the step-down Arc B370 integrated graphics can deliver performance nearly matching its flagship sibling. According to Notebookcheck's testing, the 10 Xe3-core iGPU scored 5,933 points in 3DMark Time Spy graphics tests, just 744 points behind the Arc B390's 6,679 score.

While the Arc B370 operates at a slightly lower maximum GPU clock of 2.4 GHz compared to the B390's 2.5 GHz, its performance remains remarkably competitive. At 35 watts TDP, the B370 shows only a 6% deficit compared to the B390, and at 20 watts both GPUs perform virtually identically. The Core Ultra 5 338H test chip features a 12-core configuration with 4 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores.

The Arc B370 represents a significant upgrade over Intel's previous integrated graphics solutions like the Arc Graphics 140V/140T, as well as AMD's Radeon 890M. Despite a disappointing Furmark score leak last year, real-world testing reveals the B370 delivers promising results that should appeal to budget-conscious buyers seeking current-generation performance without the premium price of flagship models.
