DeepComputing has launched the DC-ROMA RISC-V Mainboard III for Framework Laptop 13, bringing high-performance RISC-V computing to a modular laptop form factor. Priced at $699, this board represents a major step toward making RISC-V a practical, everyday computing platform for developers.

The mainboard uses the SpacemiT K3 RISC-V AI SoC, the first to support the RVA23 profile standard. It features an 8-core CPU running up to 2.5 GHz and delivers 60 TOPS of AI computing performance. The platform supports Ubuntu, Fedora, and other Linux distributions, providing a familiar environment for RISC-V software development.

By combining open hardware architecture with Framework's modular ecosystem, the DC-ROMA Mainboard III bridges experimental RISC-V development with practical, everyday computing. Preorders are now open, marking a concrete milestone in making RISC-V technology accessible to developers working on next-generation applications.
