UK publisher Kwalee and studio Out of the Blue have announced that Call of the Elder Gods will launch on May 12, 2026 across PC, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Lovecraftian narrative puzzle adventure will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass. Players take on dual roles as Professor Harry Everhart and Evangeline Drayton, solving logic-based puzzles while journeying from New England to the Australian desert, Arctic wastes, and the ancient city of Pnakotus.

As a sequel to the 2020 award-winning Call of the Sea, the game continues the object- and observation-based puzzle mechanics with enhanced depth. The story follows the characters' search for missing loved ones while confronting personal grief and ancient horrors. No prior knowledge of the original is required, though returning players will discover deeper connections and hidden truths woven throughout the narrative.

The game features Unreal Engine 5 graphics, a soundtrack by composer Eduardo De La Iglesia, and voice acting from Yuri Lowenthal and Cissy Jones. Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's 'The Shadow out of Time,' the adventure promises a fully voice-acted story exploring themes of grief, family, and sanity across multiple exotic locations.
