Publisher Kalypso Media and Realmforge Studios, developers of the Dungeons series, have announced their new title Rise of the Spellbaker, a fairy-tale inspired action-adventure. The game is set to release in 2027 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, and PlayStation 5.

In the game, players follow a Witch who is the sole survivor of an unknown plague. With her loyal cat familiar, she must fight the insatiable Rot by awakening the magic of spellbaking from forgotten recipes. The world of Khemia, once light and colorful, has become dark and infested with creatures like the Skullopod and Big Mouth.

Players will discover recipes and knead ingredients into powerful pastries such as the Crescent Wave or Shortcrust Grenade. They will team up with allies including Hermann the talking sourdough and the floury Biscies. The village can be furnished and decorated, and multiplayer allows up to five other witches to join forces.

Rise of the Spellbaker features a hand-crafted world, a deep story, and cooperative gameplay. The game is scheduled for release in 2027.
