Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe announced Echoes of Aincrad, an action RPG set in the floating castle from the Sword Art Online universe. Players create custom heroes and master combat mechanics including dodges, parries, and well-timed attacks. The game launches July 10, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Set in the vibrant world of Aincrad, players progress through quests while upgrading equipment, weapons, and attributes. The real-time combat system features partner characters whose stances can be adjusted between aggressive and supportive playstyles. As relationships deepen, partners unlock powerful abilities to aid in battles against monsters and bosses.

Pre-orders are available now with a Weapon Pack bonus. Three editions are offered: Standard, Deluxe (includes expansion DLC and Day 1 consumables), and Ultimate (adds anime, artbook, soundtrack, and exclusive armor). Players will explore diverse environments from serene plains to perilous dungeons as they level up and customize their journey through this immersive Sword Art Online adaptation.
