Arm is evolving its Flexible Access program, aiming to help startups build chips more efficiently. The updated program offers broader eligibility, enhanced edge AI capabilities, and a more adaptable approach to silicon design, testing, and market entry. This initiative builds on the existing program which has already facilitated the launch of over 400 chips across more than 100 companies.

Key changes include higher revenue and funding thresholds for startup eligibility, and a focus on edge AI innovation, with new technology and platforms included. The program now offers a streamlined joining process with a single price point and unlimited tape-outs. These updates aim to reduce complexity, speed up project timelines, and give both startups and established design teams more room to innovate.

With the latest updates, the program now includes access to the Arm Ethos-U85 NPU, which offers significant performance gains for edge AI applications. Also available is the Arm Corstone-320 reference design platform, and the Arm Cortex-M52 processor. This allows partners to design, test, and optimize workloads before committing to final silicon choices.

The evolution of Arm Flexible Access reflects the growing importance of the chip design industry. This program's enhancements support many companies working on cutting edge AI and silicon solutions. With more accessible and scalable resources, Arm is enabling a new generation of innovators to bring their chip designs to life faster and more affordably.
