At Mobile World Congress 2026, AMD unveiled the Ryzen AI 400 Series and Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series processors, expanding its AI portfolio for desktops and mobile workstations. The new chips feature dedicated neural processing units (NPUs) delivering up to 50 TOPS of AI compute for on-device acceleration. These processors enable local AI assistant functionality and productivity tools while keeping sensitive data on-device, supporting Microsoft Copilot+ experiences on the desktop. Ryzen AI 400 Series processors are the first designed specifically for next-generation desktop AI PCs. AMD also extended the mobile lineup with the Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series, offering up to 30% faster multithreaded performance than Intel Core Ultra X7 3581 for professional workloads. Both series will power new AI PCs starting in Q2 2026 from OEMs including HP, Lenovo, and Dell.

Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series mobile processors now support next-generation workstations, accelerating professional applications like engineering and design. Combined with strong power efficiency and all-day battery life, these processors extend AI capabilities to mobile form factors. AMD PRO enterprise features enhance security and manageability for IT teams overseeing AI-enabled fleets. Systems are validated for compatibility with major commercial security solutions, ensuring seamless integration into existing enterprise environments.

AMD's expanded Ryzen AI portfolio positions the company to compete in the AI PC market, with Ryzen AI 400 Series processors leading desktop innovation and Ryzen AI PRO 400 Series mobile variants targeting professional users. Availability begins in mid-2026, offering OEMs new options for high-performance, AI-enhanced computing across desktops, laptops, and workstations.
