AMD has unveiled its Ryzen AI 400 series mobile processors, codenamed 'Gorgon Point,' at CES 2026. This new lineup refreshes the 'Strix Point' architecture with a 4nm process, delivering significant performance gains. The chips feature the 'Zen 5' microarchitecture, utilizing a dual-CCX design with four full-sized cores boosting to 5.20 GHz and eight efficient cores.

The integrated RDNA 3.5 iGPU now reaches 3.10 GHz. A major highlight is the NPU, which achieves a peak throughput of 60 TOPS, an increase from the previous 55 TOPS. This upgrade, combined with the new ROCm software stack, empowers client AI applications to leverage the full potential of the NPU, CPU, and iGPU.

Furthermore, native memory support has been upgraded to LPDDR5X 8533 MT/s. These advancements solidify AMD's position in the high-performance mobile computing market, directly challenging competitors by offering superior AI processing and faster data throughput for next-generation laptops.
