AMD has begun accepting pre-orders for its upcoming Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition processor through its JD.com store in China. The high-end CPU carries an MSRP of $899, which is $200 more than the standard 9950X3D model. Chinese customers can secure their pre-order with a 100 RMB deposit, which counts as 300 RMB toward the final payment thanks to an early-bird promotion.

Pre-orders require a 100 RMB deposit that translates to 300 RMB credit for the final purchase, with full payment due on April 22, the planned retail launch date. The processor will be available both as standalone retail packages and pre-installed in gaming desktops from major OEMs and system integrators. Western retailers like B&H have placeholder pages but haven't yet opened pre-orders, suggesting they'll likely begin accepting orders on launch day.

The 9950X3D2 Dual Edition features 16 cores, 32 threads, and 3D V-Cache technology stacked on both chiplets, delivering 192 MB of L3 cache and 208 MB total cache. This dual-cache design makes it better suited for productivity and workstation tasks compared to the gaming-focused 9950X3D. The processor runs at a maximum boost frequency of 5.60 GHz with a 200 W TDP, requiring UEFI firmware updates for full Socket AM5 compatibility.
