AMD is expanding its Ryzen AI Embedded P100 Series processor portfolio to address the growing demand for AI-driven edge applications in industrial automation and robotics. The new processors feature up to 12 Zen 5 cores, 80 system TOPS for physical AI acceleration, and AMD RDNA 3.5 graphics on a single chip. This scalable architecture targets intelligent machine vision, autonomous robotics, and 3D health imaging.

Compared to the previous generation, the P100 Series delivers up to 39% higher multithreaded performance and 2.1x higher total system TOPS. The processors consolidate CPU, GPU, and NPU capabilities, enabling efficient workload partitioning for mixed-criticality applications. Support for ROCm software brings open-source AI frameworks to embedded systems, while virtualized reference stacks allow Linux, Windows, and RTOS environments to run in isolated domains.

The processors are already gaining industry traction, with companies like Advantech, congatec, and Kontron developing production-ready platforms. Eight to 12-core variants are sampling now with production shipments expected in July 2026, while four to six-core models will enter production in Q2 2026. This expansion positions AMD to capture growing edge AI markets where deterministic performance and long-term reliability are essential.
