Akasa has introduced the M.2 NVMe SSD to PCIe adapter card with removable tray (AK-PCCM2P-06), designed for IT administrators, system integrators and PC builders. The adapter enables installation of an M.2 NVMe SSD into a free PCIe slot on desktop, workstation or server systems. It delivers data transfer rates of up to 64 Gbps on a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, with backward compatibility with PCIe 3.0 x4 at up to 32 Gbps. The removable drive tray allows M.2 SSD installation or replacement without removing the adapter card from the PCIe slot, reducing downtime during maintenance.

The adapter card fits PCIe x4, x8 and x16 slots for broad compatibility across motherboard form factors. The tray accommodates M Key M.2 NVMe SSDs in 2230, 2242, 2260 and 2280 form factors. A movable clip secures the drive without separate mounting screws, while a latch and key lock prevent unauthorized access. Built with stainless steel construction and aluminium heatsink with thermal pads, the card maintains stable performance under load.

The AK-PCCM2P-06 supports Windows, Linux and Mac systems, suitable for workstation upgrades, server deployments, shared environments and data migration workflows. It includes full-height and low-profile brackets for ATX, micro ATX and compact SFF builds. Pricing starts at £69.00/€72.50 and is available throughout the UK, Europe, North America and Asia.
