Deadlock, Valve's MOBA in beta testing for nearly two years, received the City Never Sleeps update. The development team introduced six new heroes: Nurse Harrow, Rat King, Solomon, Deadman Danny, Baba, and Violet. A double hero vote for the first win of the day now takes place in the pre-game lobby.

The map received a massive visual overhaul, dividing lanes into Yellow (York), Blue (Broadway), and Green (Greenwich) with distinct zones and neutral creatures. New districts—Theater District, Chinatown, Haunted Lot District, and Plaza District—feature unique haunts and challenges. Updated UI includes enhanced health bars, clear ally indicators, and improved player buff status displays to help players assess confrontation viability.
