Acer Nitro Blaze Handheld Delayed: US Launch on Hold

Acer's Nitro Blaze 8 and 11 Windows gaming handhelds, first announced at CES 2025, have been delayed indefinitely. According to a report by Windows Central, an Acer representative confirmed that launch plans for the US market are 'TBD' (to be determined), citing the current US tariff situation as a primary reason for the hold-up. While the devices are still on the company's roadmap, they were notably absent from CES 2026.

This delay poses a significant strategic risk for Acer in the rapidly evolving PC gaming handheld market. Competitors like ASUS (ROG Ally X) and Lenovo (Legion Go 2) are advancing with 32GB of RAM and newer chipsets. The originally planned specs for the Nitro Blaze, including 16GB of RAM and an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processor, risk becoming outdated by the time of a potential release, potentially diminishing its market impact upon arrival.
