The Trump White House posted a digitally altered photo of Nekima Levy Armstrong, a Minnesota civil rights attorney arrested after protesting at a church. The manipulated image made her appear to be crying. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem had posted the original photo earlier, which showed Armstrong being led away by police.

White House Deputy Communications Director Kaelan Dorr defended the post, stating enforcement and memes would continue. The administration labeled Armstrong a "far-left agitator" involved in "church riots." Her attorney called the alteration "outrageous defamation," noting she was calm during the arrest. A video shot by her husband is expected to contradict the White House's narrative.

The protest targeted Cities Church in St. Paul, where a pastor is allegedly also an ICE official. Protesters disrupted services, chanting "ICE OUT." Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the arrest, citing a federal conspiracy charge. This incident highlights escalating tensions between federal officials and activists protesting immigration enforcement.
