Masters of the Universe trailer cranks nostalgia to 11 for June 2026 debut

The final trailer for the upcoming Masters of the Universe film lands with a wave of '80s nostalgia. It opens with vintage footage from the original 1980s series before cutting to Adam Glenn—the grown-up He-Man—grasping his magic sword and shouting "I have the power!" The story follows the classic origin: the prince of Eternia crash-landed on Earth as a child, sent there by his astronaut mother Queen Marlena to escape Skeletor.

Earlier trailers showed Adam living as an office drone, hunting for his sword online, before returning to Eternia and reuniting with Man-at-Arms, Teela, and Cringer. The final cut also teases cameos from Mekaneck, Ram-Man, and Fisto. Skeletor delivers his own memorable line: "I mean to be a god," signaling no mercy for Eternia's prodigal son.

Masters of the Universe hits theaters June 5, 2026. The film tries to balance fan-service callbacks with a fresh take on He-Man's origin story, hoping to prove that a toy-driven franchise can still command a big-screen audience decades after the original animated series.
