Formula E unveils 21‑race GEN4 calendar with classic tracks

Formula E wraps its current technical era with the debut of the GEN4 single‑seater EV at the start of the 2026‑27 season. The new car delivers power rivaling Formula 1, prompting a shift to faster venues. The league released a 21‑race schedule across 13 cities, beginning with a Saudi double‑header on Dec 18‑19.

January kicks off the 2027 calendar on former F1 sites: Mexico on the 16th, the shortened Circuit of the Americas in Texas on Feb 7, and Miami’s International Autodrome on Feb 20. COTA’s shorter layout avoids direct lap‑time comparison with F1, underscoring Formula E’s move away from its original city‑center focus.

Traditional stops persist, with Berlin‑Templehof and Monaco returning in May. London’s indoor‑outdoor venue gives way to Brands Hatch in Kent, likely using a bespoke layout rather than Indy or GP configurations. The revised roster signals a strategic pivot toward established circuits while maintaining a global footprint.
