The electric series will launch its 600k W, all‑wheel‑drive Gen4 car on a 21‑race 2026‑27 schedule that mixes street circuits, classic tracks and shortened Grand Prix layouts. Venues such as Tokyo, Berlin Tempelhof and the newly added Brands Hatch, Circuit of The Americas and Zandvoort replace the former London ExCeL slot, giving the cars more room to exploit their power.

CEO Jeff Dodds says the move reflects a maturing championship that now boasts over 400 million global fans. With higher top speeds and a race mode of 450k W, the Gen4 platform pushes the series closer to Formula 1 performance, prompting a shift toward venues that can showcase the technology while still featuring strategic battery regeneration.

The calendar adds a second U.S. round at COTA, joining Miami and mirroring F1’s expansion into the American market. A new ten‑minute “E‑Prix Unleashed” sprint will let drivers run flat‑out, contrasting with the longer, strategy‑heavy race. This dual‑format aims to retain the series’ tactical identity while delivering pure speed, solidifying Formula E’s distinct appeal.
