Defense contractor Anduril Industries has doubled the size of its space unit through the acquisition of ExoAnalytic Solutions, adding 130 employees to its existing space sector staff of 120. The move brings ExoAnalytic's advanced satellite tracking capabilities in-house, particularly its expertise in monitoring geostationary orbit, a critical domain for military communications and surveillance.

ExoAnalytic's sensor network has collected billions of observations with high-quality astrometric and photometric data, allowing detection of satellite maneuvers and anomalies. This technology extends beyond space tracking into missile defense applications, positioning Anduril to compete for roles in the Pentagon's Golden Dome program. The company's expertise in digital signal processing and target discrimination could prove valuable for tracking missiles through blurry imagery.

While continuing to serve ExoAnalytic's commercial customers, Anduril plans to develop new products specifically tailored for military use. The acquisition aligns with Anduril's thesis of protecting space access and ensuring custody of orbital assets, particularly as recent global events have highlighted the strategic importance of space-based capabilities for terrestrial operations.
