Gerwyn Price and Luke Humphries will contest Sunday's World Grand Prix final in Leicester, each seeking their second title at the Mattioli Arena. Price, the 2020 champion, defeated Nathan Aspinall 5-2 in Saturday's semi-final, while Humphries overcame James Wade 5-3 to reach his fourth consecutive final.
A major title drought will end for either player. Humphries has gone over a year since his last premier title at the 2025 Premier League, while Price's previous elite silverware came in 2022 at the World Series of Darts Finals.
The final will be a best of six sets, with Humphries hoping to improve on his 2024 and 2025 final losses to Mike De Decker and Luke Littler respectively.
Price admitted post-match frustration with Aspinall's complaints about crowd behaviour, telling Sky Sports: "I was a upset with him a little bit. I said, 'they're on your side bud, I'm up against it'."
